AAMH ADOLESCENT AND MENTAL HEALTH

Upon completion of the subject, students will be able to:
a. Articulate and comment on
i) adolescents’ mental health problems in relation to their development, needs
and psychosocial contexts in Hong Kong;
ii) various types of mental health service in working with adolescents with
mental health problems in Hong Kong and its strengths and limitation.
b. Gain knowledge of concepts and theories related to the development of
adolescents’ mental health problems.
c. Examine interventions, roles and values dilemma of human professionals, in
dealing with adolescents’ mental health issues
d. Identify issues and controversies involved in adolescent development that lead to
mental health problems both in international and in the local context.
